چکیده
Background: Lateral epicondylitis affects people mainly in middle-aged groups. Despite numerous studies, it is still a poorly understood illness with no clear treatment guidelines. The goal of the study was to compare deep friction massage vs corticosteroid injection for management lateral epicondylitis. Methods: To outcomes, randomised controlled trial conducted. patients were divided into 2 different first group given injection, while second massage. Disabilities Arm, Shoulder, and Hand (DASH) scores, visual analogue scale (VAS), grip strength measured before after treatment. Results: results expected 6-12 weeks, 6-month follow-up. At 6- 12-week follow-up, both groups showed significant improvements VAS pain score, DASH strength. all three end measures, strength, indicated substantial improvement Conclusion: For epicondylitis, best line can be utilized whom various options have failed. This form gives good functional outcomes without any complications as compared injection.

متن کاملCorticosteroid or placebo injection combined with deep transverse friction massage, Mills manipulation, stretching and eccentric exercise for acute lateral epicondylitis: a randomised, controlled trial
BACKGROUND Lateral epicondylitis of the elbow is a frequent condition with long-lasting symptoms. Corticosteroid injection is increasingly discouraged and there is little knowledge on the combined effect of corticosteroid injection and physiotherapy for acute conditions. We wanted to investigate the efficacy of physiotherapy alone and combined with corticosteroid injection for acute lateral epi...

PURPOSE We designed a prospective, randomized study to evaluate the effects of iontophoresis delivery of dexamethasone versus corticosteroid injection therapy on patient outcomes. METHODS We randomized 82 patients to 10 mg dexamethasone via iontophoresis using a self-contained patch with a 24-hour battery; 10 mg dexamethasone injection; or 10 mg triamcinolone injection. All patients received ...

Background: We aimed to compare the efficacy of local injection therapies for lateral epicondylitis in a Bayesian framework. Methods: We searched the Embase, PubMed, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Web of Science, Scopus, and ProQuest, for randomized controlled trials published from inception to February 2021 in any languages. The injection therapies included corticosteroids (C...
متن کاملAutologous blood and corticosteroid injection and extracoporeal shock wave therapy in the treatment of lateral epicondylitis.
Lateral epicondylitis is a common disorder characterized by pain and tenderness over the lateral epicondyle. It occurs most frequently as a result of minor, unrecognized trauma during sports activities and occupation-related physical activities. The goal of this study was to evaluate the short-, medium-, and long-term effects of corticosteroid injection, autologous blood injection, and extracor...
